James Healey’s review published on Letterboxd:
I really don’t understand how Four Nights of a Dreamer is hardly discussed when talking about peak Bresson. My third viewing this summer, and it's easily his best. The beauty is in its simplicity of young lovers who really don't understand what love is. Seemingly lost in a world where everyone else is happy around them, so desperate to achieve what they're missing. Even if the love isn't real, it feels real enough to them.
