Probably the best action/drama film I’ve seen in recent memory. This just SCREAMS Cowboy Bebop mixed with Mean Streets - and the performances here are phenomenal.

Another film from 2013 that is extremely gripping and one that demands a rewatch.

Symbolism in rabbits has never been so strong - breathtaking performances and immaculate production design/cinematography.  Might I add that this is the first Lanthimos film I’ve seen? Next up: 🦞

PTA gives us a wonderful homage to films like American Graffiti, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and even Dazed and ConfusedGraffiti and Fast Times being prime inspirations for Licorice Pizza. Brilliant directed, shot, acted and composed, this is easily my favorite film of the year! A film made for the time period - the best way to experience it is to think of it as such.

‘Twas festive! Love the smaller stories within the MCU as opposed to the (now constantly?) focused ones on inter-dimensional brings

  • The Amazing Spider-Man

    The Amazing Spider-Man

    ★★★½

TASM 2 goes by a lot quicker compared to this one, yet TASM holds a special place in my heart being that it’s the first Spider-Man movie I ever saw in a theater… so personal experience plays a big role here. Could it have been executed better? Perhaps - but there’s no doubt that Garfield kills it in the role. Absolutely kills it.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Rewatching this one I can safely say that it’s not the actor here - it’s the story. Garfield might just be my favorite Spidey actor…

Garfield and Shannon are both incredibly captivating in this one! Loved how late-2000s the style felt as well.

It’s safe to say that watching this felt like I was back home, despite the title. A lot to process, for sure - but this has one of the best third acts in a Spidey flick. And, I’m oh-so-hyped for where they take the story next!
