31/31 Days of Horror...AGAIN! - Hoop-Tober 2.0 [2017]
It has taken me twice to really connect and appreciate Carpenters slow, stoic and masterful suspense in Halloween. It builds taking its time for both development and depth, NEVER giving much if not anything for its audience to appetise on for violence sake. The score and cinematography are a treat and delight respectively. Both just add a strikingly eerie and atmospheric element to the overal picture, and the iconography? Downright genius!
