    Giallo or Slasher?

These body count films have never been my favorites but I had to give this one a go seeing as it’s one of the classics and in my attempts to call myself a true horror connoisseur it seemed essential. With a completely ridiculous plot and some of the most awkward acting and dialogue, there was no way I thought I was going to end up enjoying this one as much as I did. Pieces gets a lot…

But.. Why does he hate my boobs?

I’m surprised this homage to 80s slashers doesn’t get a little more love. The cast is great. I’ve said it before but Taissa Farmiga can do no wrong and she’s great once again, bringing some emotional weight to this otherwise silly dark comedy. I’m a long time fan of Adam Devine and while he plays his typical low brow humor character, I’m certainly not mad about it. The stunning Nina Dobrev plays the…

    More silly 80s slasher trash..

This one hasn’t aged quite as well as number two but Angela is still a lot of fun, I understand why the horror community enjoys her.  There were a couple kills that made me smile but overall this is just more of the same cheesiness that the first sequel brought us which just wasn’t really my bag. This zero budget blood and boobs slasher is exactly what you expect from the 80’s and can pretty much be summed up by its opening sequence.

    The tit patrol, that’s who!

I had pretty low expectations heading into this one and while it was more or less what I expected, it did make me smile quite a few times. It’s rare that I’ll literally laugh out loud watching something while sitting alone, but that line really caught me off guard when we’re first introduced to the pervy young photographers. Nothing scary or suspenseful about this one just some cheep goofy 80s slasher fun.

Freddy falls in love with the word bitch in this one and never looks back

Although I didn’t find it quite as scary, I love this film just as much as the first in the franchise, it’s definitely my favorite of the sequels. Freddys one liners are a bit cheesy but remain pretty iconic. I love the imaginative plot, the visuals and set pieces are brilliant. One of my earliest memories of a horror film is the strange snake creature…
