    Bandits of Orgosolo

    At Home - PLEX

Sort of Italian neo realist Noir Western. De Seta extends what he visited in his short film Shepherds of Orgosolo (with touches of a few others). Some amazing meditations on survival and distrust of the justice system. Non actors are terrific and the films…

    James's House - 16mm

Fun turn for Haas who once again plays the cuckold but this time it is of his own doing as he tries to hatch a plan to use that to rub out his gold mining partner. The Ladykillers

    Film Forum - 4K DCP

Drags a little in the final reel but this is quite simply comedy of the highest order. Alec Guinness and Katie Johnson are perfection. Peter Sellers as a Teddy Boy is can't miss. Restoration looked lovely.

    Behind the Music+

Recycled footage and interviews tell Robbie's story. I am a huge fan of The Band and have been for as long as I can remember. I read Levon's book when I was a teenager and read Robbie's recent Testimony almost as soon as it hit shelves but the lack of a Garth Hudson interview and the fact that Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and Levon Helm are dead allows the filmmakers and Robbie to…
