The Hand of God

The Hand of God ★★★★½

Few films immediately command the title masterpiece, but it was obvious that The Hand of God held itself to a higher standard. Full of heart, laughter, and profound messages of life and growing up, Sorrentino deals blow after blow in this monumental film. It’s not without its qualms, and moments that feel a bit dragged out, but the final - carefully crafted - package of a film is easily one of the best I’ve seen this year.
