    I've spent the last week or so reflecting on exactly what makes Carol, the story of two women who sprint against normality in the 50's, so great. Yes, the story is intriguing, but there was something within Todd Haynes' new picture that stretches beyond that. It wasn't the cinematography, the editing, the costume design, the score... but rather, it was the blissful combination of literally everything that makes Carol so perfect.
