"So we are saving the universe again?" -Rocket

James Gunn is the absolute madman, delivering a more comedic, emotional, and character-focused film, as compared to the previous installment in the Guardians movies.

Almost all of the comedy works, the new characters are great, villains are actually not terrible (looking at you Malekith), and the feels hit hard this time. Plus another great soundtrack via Awesome Mix Vol 2! (Don't even forget all 5 after credit scenes, they're all really fun!)

James Gunn took so many risks in this one, less streamlined plot, more characters, new ones being introduced and old ones being developed (very well in that regard, with appropriate screentime for everyone), and having the prime action set pieces being at only 3 points in the film, the beginning, middle and end.

Speaking of, the opening is already one of my favorite MCU scenes, with an awesome (wink wink) song used for it. And the ending was so deftly handled, and its where I truly give my respect to Gunn, and everyone involved with the making of this movie.

This is for sure, one of the more ballsy outings by Marvel Studios, and will be more controversial than most of the MCU, but I don't care, I love both of these movies, and I absolutely can't wait for Vol 3!
