Jack Jamieson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Does this lack the thematic depth and philosophical musings of almost every other Coen Brothers film? Yes. Does that mean this is a bad film? Not in the slightest.
I found this to be a lot of fun, from the performances to the script. Clooney plays smarm so well, and even pulls off the affability when needed. Zeta-Jones as this conniving maneater is also great, as is Cedric the Entertainer in a smaller but certifiably Coen side role. As I mentioned earlier, the film can be a little light and goes down a bit too easy for my taste, but it is still a very enjoyable ride.
