i need a scientific deep dive analysis into how john goodman is just walking around without an oscar... he kills it every time. this is madly tense from the first shot to the very end, and i imagine even if this is a film you don't enjoy straight away, you'll stick around, because part of you will need to know what happens. even thought the ending feels a bit lacklustre at first, it ends up feeling quite satisfying, and overall, i can safely say that i've never seen anything like this.
why is this not framed and covered in gold in the rom com hall of fame...
great acting, colourful, pretty, strong message, an imperceptible twist, hot ewan mcgregor, funny, a 4 minute masterclass of a monologue from renee zellweger, new york, brilliant costumes, sexual enough to be funny but not too sexual to the point that you can't watch it with parents, sarah paulson, great soundtrack, hot and endearing david hyde pierce, clever, sweet, camp... no complaints, will be getting a poster, a modern classic.
does anyone know one 17 year old who unironically uses the words 'screw off' or 'dirtbag' or 'douche' in a genuine attempt to offend someone. if someone said that to me, my body would go into shock and then shut down because the level of cringe that would be pulsating through my veins would be fatal. i'm losing my fucking mind.
