    A delirious gift from the cosmos. I gotta say, Jason Robards' delivery of "the goddamn regret" hits different at 1am.

    I always reminisce about my first time watching it at 13 and being blown away by the prologue and opening montage. Then, having foolishly started it with my parents, my Mum turned it off as soon as Frank dropped the c-word. However, those 15 minutes embedded themselves deep in me and I had to watch the full movie again later…

    There's always that one line in Wes Anderson movies that just knocks me sideways. He knows the moment in this one. He acts coy and he toys with it, but it stills hits as hard. It's the line from Jeffrey Wright where he says "with good luck, maybe we'll find what eluded us in the places we used to call home."

    Probably gonna be divisive. A lot of people are going to drawn in by that cast alone and will then have to be patient with it. Feels way too novelistic with a lot of unnecessary backstory to absolutely every story element. Strong acting (Dudley Dursley is MVP) and generally well-made, just major structural issues as it takes a long time for the plot to actually start.
