James Hrivnak’s review published on Letterboxd:
Very nearly reaches the heights RAIDERS, especially in its back half as sustained thrill-ride once Indy and crew find the Thuggee temple. TEMPLE OF DOOM is crazy entertaining, and somehow feels a little more accessible—it's more colourful, less nuanced, faster paced. But this also goes super-dark and practically becomes a horror movie for 20 minutes in the middle. Some of it feels forced, particularly in Capshaw's performance and the unfortunate two notes she get (money hungry, scared). That feast scene is quite regrettable.
