I decided that today on my day off, I’d watch the entire Godfather trilogy, from start to finish. I’m obviously operating a few breaks in between but yeah, this will be a nine hour and ten minute marathon for me lol.
Francis Ford Coppola was in his bag when he made this. Like holy fuck.
The Godfather is just a masterpiece from start to finish. This is storytelling at an all time high. An epic that tells one of the best mob stories to ever hit the screen. This is easily one of the best movies of all time. I prefer Part II over the first but this film is nearly flawless.
I literally get chills are so many scenes throughout this movie. As a child when I watched this, the scenes that really stuck with me were Sonny is at the toll booth stop, Don Corleone in his garden, and that ending.... the final shot of this movie is so fucking dope.
But yeah all together, this movie is hella long but worth it with that amazing pay off.
Now, onto Part II.
