This is my second watch-through as I decided not to do a review the first time around because the block was HOT for anyone that didn't give this movie five stars. After watching a second time, I've decided I like this movie. I rank based on enjoyment and Barbie, at its core, is so fun!

I think Barbie is extremely ambitious in its concept and execution. There are so many directions you can take a "Barbie movie about feminism" so…

GGAGGGG IT! This is up there with some of the best of Disney's typically faithful live-action remakes. It's everything a remake should be; expansive, adventurous, and unafraid to stray a bit from the source material. Giving Prince Eric an "I want" song...  a stroke of GENIUS! Sebastian and Scuttle were SO funny especially Sebastian like Daveed Diggs was in his bag. Ursula had her moments and of course Halle Bailey was spectacular. There was the biggest smile on my face…
