All Fall Down 1962
Rounding up from a 3.75- the acting was too good to round down.
Okay- obviously a tremendously talented cast. Brandon de Wilde is sweet faced you expect him to be the perfect young man, but then other traits of his start to appear (smoking, truancy, eavesdropping…), and he plays a mischievous boy so well.
god I hope Angela Lansbury got to sit down in between takes, because she was worrrrrrkkkkiiiiinnnnng. I can’t imagine being that consistently ~on~ and playing anxious…

All About Eve 1950
“Maybe somebody’s name is Butler” is such a good, stupid, unnecessary, genius, perfect line

Rear Window 1954
I think this has my favorite dialogue out of all of Hitchcock’s movies. It’s brilliant. And I love movies that can do so much from one set/location… which I guess is why movies based on plays usually kick ass.

Barbie 2023
An enjoyable watch, plenty of good laughs, entertaining throughout… maybe a tad bit different and weirder (for a lack of a better term) than I was expecting, but that’s okay. Was surprised how much energy, screen time, and focus the Ken plot got, and as someone who genuinely has no issue suspending disbelief, I still found myself “wait, what?”-ing at times to follow some of the film’s logic.
Anyway, an overall fun movie- a GORGEOUS movie to look at, oh and Allan was absolutely a standout character.
