Panos Cosmatos did it again!

I fuckin love the madness of Mandy and hypnotizic style of Panos Cosmatos. And I really loved this bizarre atmospheric horror. I think Cosmatos is the best horror director of recent years of creating atmosphere with synth music, color palette and use of intense light and strange characters.

I find Cosmatos did in this is very bold, more than half of the film is bizarre of conversations at a round table. Unlike Mandy, it's not a revenge story or thrilling ride. It was so weird to see a comedian like Eric Andre in such a diverse role. Sofia Boutella and Peter Weller were the story' most compelling characters. Maybe the ending could have been better, still it is one of my favorite films of the year and the best part of the anthology so far.

Mandy'le hayran kaldığım Panos Cosmatos yine tarzını konuşturmuş. Synthwave müzikleriyle, yoğun renkleri ve ışıklandırmasıyla ve tekinsiz karakterleriyle sağlam bir atmosfer yaratmış. Bu yönetmenin en büyük marifeti ambiyans yaratmak. Yine herkese göre olmayan bir film, hatta çoğunluk sıkıcı bulmuş ama ben baştan sona merakla izledim. Yaptığı şeyi de baya cesur buluyorum, filmin yarısından fazlası yuvarlak bir masada geçen konuşmalardan oluşuyor.

Oyuncuların hepsini beğendim ama özellikle Eric Andre gibi bir komedyeni böyle farklı bir rolde görmek inanılmazdı, Sofia Boutella ve Peter Weller da filmin en ilgi çekici karakterleriydi. Sonu daha iyi olabilirdi belki ama bu haliyle bile yılın en sevdiğim filmlerinden ve şimdilik antolojinin en iyi bölümü.
