Dan Sheehan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I'm a sucker for these types of movies! This one leans a little heavy on the "guhhhhh my life sucks because I have a nice house" of it all but all the little secret agent trappings are so so fun. A friend who exists only in the radio? Yes!! A record that doubles as an explosive trigger? Hell yeah! I really wanted this to be a surprise John Wick tie-in and quite frankly there's still time to make it happen.
It does really have anything profound to say, nor does it need to, but it is ultimately a movie about how Punch Guys spend their entire life waiting to meet another, slightly more reckless set of Punch Guys so they can feel justified being Punch Guys. Truly masculinity is a prison made of blood.
Woulda been cool if the villains were Italian
