Finally - FINALLY - got the chance to see this in a cinema viewing, and it didn’t disappoint. The sumptuous visuals adopt a whole new texture when projected, and the sound becomes overwhelming when carefully emanated from all directions. I’ve already written three prior entries so I’ll keep this one brief, but Roma is the real deal. 10/10
P.S. I’ve never heard such a cacophony of sniffles in a theatre before. Opening night of A Star Is Born drew a lot of tears, but Roma’s hospital scene absolutely wrecked my audience.
