Fuck it 4.5!!! In the past couple years I’ve really tried to view films in a more objective capacity, to not follow the zeitgeist, to not show my bias in criticism and all that jazz, but fuck all that shit!! So rarely does a film come along that is so touching, so earnest, so full of life. Greta Gerwig is a once in a generation talent, like, the kind of talent that can’t be taught, just honed and transmuted through different works/forms. There’s some kind of magic buried in everything she makes, a kind of magic you feel deep in your bones. Or at least I feel it in my bones. God, I love this movie. Care about each other! Don’t mask your pain! Pay attention to the people that make you feel something!!
