I honestly don't know how to talk about this movie. There are no words that could describe how terrifying, heartbreaking, hysterical and fucking brilliant this movie is. Nothing could have ever prepared me for this. 

It's been almost an hour since I walked out of my Hereditary screening, and I find myself baffled. Still shaking and laughing, trying to have a normal conversation with my mom. I have fallen in love with movies over and over again, but horror movies never seem to captivate me as much as others do. But Hereditary is brand new. Hereditary busted through our doors, confident and blazing. Hereditary doesn't let the genre define what it can be. Hereditary takes your head and slams it into the goddamn wall, and will not apologize. 

In this lifetime, watching movies is a treat we love to indulge in. Some go to the theaters once a week, once a month, or 1-3 times a year to see the new Marvel or Star Wars films. But if you're going to invest in anything this week, month, or year, make it fucking Hereditary. Make it the goddamn horror film of the 21st century. And let it ruin your life.
