Improves in every way on the first film in this series: more style, more substance, better gags and some neat little death-by-magic bits (mannequin hex is a personal fave). The combo of otherworldly cursed Hollywood noir, Amaericana paranoia, Dennis Hopper and Badalamenti score places this in the Mulholland Drive shaped box in my mind.
