i don’t have a super strong emotional attachment to the Avatar franchise, so this was cool and a good movie but nothing super life changing. i will say that this is one of the very few movies with a long runtime (like, ironically, james cameron’s own Titanic) that actually earns it, imo. overall, worth the hype and if you love Avatar this will be amazing. on a completely unrelated note this was the first movie i’ve seen in 3D since Frozen, and i refuse to accept that that was ten whole years ago
