Well if you wanted Rian Johnson to hone in on the genre pastiche or tight filmmaking/rhythm of the first one but NOT to hone in and expand on the meandering, cloying attempts to comment on the “current” cultural millieu or socio-economic conditions of the first one, I think you might be disappointed with this.
