I usually try to avoid true crime or serial killer movies but I'm glad I didn't avoid this one. The pacing is well done despite the length, the editing is meticulous, the performances are top notch and Fincher's direction provides a suspenseful energy that manages to complement the film's gritty vibe. I do think it's a shame that historical events/pieces like this normally get overlooked unless they become adapted into forms of entertainment like this but like hell I'm not guilty of being on the receiving end of that ever.
Also, the kids of Jake Gyllenhall.'s character are awesome.
