Day 10: Vigilantes!

Dragon Sound: Central Florida’s amalgamation of every bad 80’s musical tendency at once. Think late-Styx fronted by a Pat Benatar wannabe with keytars (but not as good). And they all know Tae Kwon Doh.

But there’s another band (who know less martial arts) who doesn’t like them. And Dragon Sound’s lead singer’s brother hangs out with some shady characters, including criminal ninjas. And the local ninja-boss keeps telling that brother to get rid of the band so he can “control the area.” So the conflicts (and musical performances) are just epic. And there’s cocaine. Lots of bare chests (that maybe shouldn’t be), martial arts demos, mullets, and uh…regional acting styles. I look forward to the documentary about Central Florida’s drug-dealing ninja violence problem in the mid-80s.

All I can say is WOW. Miami Connection is a special film
