  god damn dude this sucks

  dolan sets this movie up as a competition between which character can garner more pity from the audience, the trans woman or the cis woman 'burdened' by having a trans partner. at best it's tedious, at worst transphobic and exploitative. Theres plenty to point to in the movie, but this interview speaks effectively to the way that Dolan treats Laurence.
