An absolute moron who loves films.
Gives way too many 5 stars
Loves really fucking stupid film
First review let's go!!
For a short horror its pretty effective and engaging to watch. For a 3 minute film, its well paced, and feels longer than it is (that's a positive) as the almost crawling nature ramps up the creepiness. Emphasised with the disgusting lighting, and dirty colour grading, it's unsettling.
If I was to give criticism, it would be the sound mixing, I recommend playing around with different volumes and pans to convey the distance of certain sounds (ie, door knock)
Good film Kane!!
Watching the trilogy back to back, it's not that different, but I gotta say I think this one is my favourite one so far, can't wait to see the 4th in cinemas soon!!!
Came into this film expecting another boring/mid/overhyped horror film, and was left in shock and awe, I fucking LOVE THIS MOVIE.
Not only a brilliant horror film, mocking the state of the genre at the time, but also a brilliant whodunit with fantastic filmmaking, performances and energy ive not seen in a horror before, Matthew Lillard will always have my heart.
As the oscars approach in less than half an hour by the time I'm writing this, I decided to finally get to this film.
And its absolutely not what I expected.
The film takes us through steps. Repeated locations in the same repeated order, which drops and falls as Lydia Tars life around her begins to plummet.
Cate Blanchetts performance alone tells you everything you need to know about who she is and how she's been like her whole life.…
