Ian Bulaclac’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's official. It's not leaving my top 2 films of 2016. This film is hard hitting, beautiful, well-acted, well shot and very engaging from start to finish. Chiron is without a doubt one of the best characters of the year. You understand how he feels when he's picked on or when he discovers his sexuality.
I'm gonna stop taking about this film. This is one that needs to be seen on the big screen. Plus if you didn't like it the first time, give it another chance. You might enjoy it more in the end as much as I did. Barry Jenkins is now on my radar.
