I love when it rains in a film. It just sets such a wonderful mood, especially when mixed with a properly noir-ish plot. Now is this a noir? The Tomb of Ligeia 1964
I can honestly say that I would simply not be caught in this type of situation. Vincent Price just brings no appeal to the role, looking positively ghastly under heavy makeup and dark shades. That's not Corman's fault, though, as he wanted the younger Richard Chamberlain. The film still benefits from appropriately Gothic location shooting, some of Corman's best directorial effort and a truly macabre story.
