immediately one of my new cult favorites. creative shot composition, sound design, and there are so many beats in the story that scratch a perfect itch in my brain. beautifully horrid

there is every other movie ever made, and then there is house (1977). shit rocked. the kind of art that makes you say to yourself, “wtf, you can do that?!?!?!” every 30 seconds

took me 24 years to finally watch this movie 👍 it was probably the coolest thing i’ve ever seen. i wonder if the Wachowskis knew they were making the coolest thing ever — as they were making it

we as a society, cannot overstate how funny the “big johnson and little johnson” gag is. a top tier piece of #DudesRockCinema

Like I’ll be nervous even when there’s nothing to be nervous about really. Like...it’s sort of like when you wait in line for a roller coaster and you have that nervous stomach, like I feel like that all the time, like every day, and I don’t ever get that feeling you get after you ride the roller coaster when you feel better. It’s just like I’m waiting in the line all the time. And I try really hard not feel like that but, I don’t know, I just can’t.

watching/listening to this again as I work and realized something that might be very obvious to everyone else: when the white woman is talking about her mom, the instagram aspect ratio changes bc it’s no longer the perfect, fake, persona that she’s trying to portray on instagram. it’s fully wide bc it’s real life and actually authentic. cool!
