  • 50/50

it’s refreshing watching comedy when the jokes aren’t so explicitly jokes. the things i laughed at were mostly goofy ways of saying things or slightly awkward timing — stuff that feels real. and with that being the case, i felt like 100% of the comedy hit for me...because when i didn’t laugh it something, it just didn’t seem like a joke? ya know?

anyway this was certainly 50/50 comedy and drama (pun intended) and the drama works well too. cried…

  • Accepted

i loved this movie when i was a kid and honestly......it kinda rocks???? i expected it to not hold up at all but i was genuinely shocked at how much it does. the politics in it are pretty based, the quotables that I’ve remembered forever are still funny, and in the end, it kinda reminds me of Chef. not much conflict, just a fun romp and it does it pretty well. also i did not expect to cry to the 2006 comedy Accepted starring Justin Long and Jonah Hill today...but here we are.

  • The Last Dance

    - kinda hated the split timelines going back and forth for most of the series. it the emotional weight of them doing it only started hitting me during the last couple episodes, so i guess it kinda worked? idk.
    - Phil Jackson seems so fucking cool. would love to have a nice meal with him
    - “way to go, Craig” made me belly laugh
    - all my homies hate Jerry Krause
    - loved every story about Jordan having these ridiculous grudges and embarrassing people because of them. what a psycho

i am SO curious about who would get knocked off if we had #DeathTo irl. there are obvious answers that come to mind but you never know what would *actually* happen

    Crazy, Stupid, Love.

    - no homo but i want ryan gosling to destroy me while steve carell watches ♥️
    - jessica’s friend doing the “my lips are seals” bit is absolutely unhinged
    - ryan and emma’s night together is so HOT and then SO cute and sweet
    - the phone call scene about fixing the whatever is so cute and sweet
    - josh groban academy award
    - i can’t tell if i love or hate the scene when all hell breaks loose
