This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

This was my second viewing and I still don’t know which Lupita I’m supposed to be rooting for. Maybe the real Lupita was inside all of us all along 💫

  • The Town

    The Town

this was like my favorite movie before I actually started watching movies. it’s not great but it’s pretty entertaining from start to finish and the NUN COSTUMES ARE ICONIC. probably deserves 3.5* but the nostalgia gives it a boost

  • When Harry Met Sally...

    When Harry Met Sally...

Some of the fits in this movie were WILD, seeing Billy Crystal wearing tights and speedwalking like a suburban mom was shocking, and I want Carrie Fisher to set me up on my next date. 4/5 stars.

  • Scream 2

    Scream 2

A little bit *too* goofy compared to the original, but still a really enjoyable movie. This cast (including the cameos) is so iconic

  • Widows

Insanely good performances from a wonderful ensemble cast. Idk if I’ve ever seen such great performances from a plot that’s generally pretty cheesy. A lot of fun from start to finish.

  • Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Uniquely subtle when compared to the rest of Quentin’s movies. I enjoyed it from start to finish, but I never really fell in love with the characters (apart from Pitt). P.S. when he took his shirt off, I GASPED. The man’s still got it.

P.P.S. Brandy is the best dog in the history of film, right? Right.

  • Midsommar

    The perfect date movie!

Absolutely LOVED it before they got to Sweden, liked it a lot once they got there. Ari is so special and I’d love for him to traumatize me once a year. Will Poulter was amazing btw.

  • Free Solo

    Free Solo

I think I would’ve liked this a little bit more if it dove deeper into him as a person. The end of the movie is obviously remarkable, but I kept asking myself ~why~ he’s doing it in the first place.

Regardless, the footage is incredible. Some of the editing is a little odd, but overall a super entertaining doc. I felt like I was gonna be sick during all the climbing scenes.

P.S. this was nowhere near the quality of Won’t You Be My Neighbor? imo.

  • Steve Jobs

    Steve Jobs

A two hour battle between Aaron Sorkin and Danny Boyle, fighting for my love. Great performances, unique editing that I really liked, and I’m all in favor of more dramatic Seth Rogen roles.

  • Mean Girls

    Mean Girls

This is one of those movies that I think I watched on tv when I was a kid, so that doesn’t really count as me actually watching it. It was fun! I now understand 20+ references that I’ve been hearing for years. This movie’s impact on pop culture is pretty nuts. It’s uhhhh slightly problematic in today’s world, but it is what it is.

P.S. Lindsay Lohan really had it all at one point, huh?

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp

    Ant-Man and the Wasp

Dare I say, THE funnest/funniest MCU movie (excluding Ragnarok)???? The school sequence???? Michael Peña??? TI and the Baba Yaga man??? Also, the miniature car chase is one of my favorite MCU action set pieces. Love this movie idc idc idc idc
