~ nobody knows what it means, but it’s provocative. it gets the people going ~

fascinated by this creepy ass dude, Lars. there are some of the most beautiful shots i’ve ever seen on film…contrasted by the most horrific images i’ve ever seen on film.

i think it’s fun for the reviews of a movie to either be people trying to put their own, wildly different perspectives on things, or for people to say that everything here was bullshit. both…

very nice 😊 all-time great dance scene at the end

    fun for the whole family!

wish that it leaned into the gore a little bit more ♥️ but it was good. Willem is the greatest

  • Everything Everywhere All at Once

    Everything Everywhere All at Once

extremely creative but it drags a little bit imo. i’m kind of surprised that it’s been SO universally well received, cause i could imagine this being hit-or-miss with people. there are like 15+ different themes, multiple fake climaxes, and i feel like there are some meta self-critiques about the movie not making sense and being aimless, but addressing those issues doesn’t really fix them. idk! fun movie though. great vfx

decided to watch a movie while walking on the treadmill and ended up sobbing inside of my local planet fitness

this movie is literally about a quirked up white lady busting it down sexual style

    - really well shot. there are a few moments that standout, depending on the color/lighting and space used in the frame
    - surprisingly funny, too! it’s cool that it wasn’t exactly a “horror comedy” but the jokes that it did have, made me laugh out loud
    - shoutout to jenna ortega for delivering one of the best screams i’ve heard in a horror movie

  • The Batman

I think the main cast absolutely killed it. Pattinson, Farrell, and Dano especially. it looked and sounded fucking unbelievable. good enough that it makes me want to go back and dock a star off of pretty much every MCU/DCEU film for not looking/sounding as good as this, when the possibility is clearly there with cbm’s. but something kinda feels like it’s missing! I don’t think the script was too convincing - especially with how long the runtime is. idk! probably gonna see it again soon

  • West Side Story

    West Side Story

a very, very good movie. riff reminded me so much of john mulaney and my friend devon that it kinda took me out of it whenever he was on screen, but that’s not his fault ♥️ allegations aside, good god this could’ve been perfect if ansel elgort wasn’t the lead. he was okay but when everyone else is great, and the technical stuff is phenomenal, you really have to wonder what could’ve been. steve went crazy on this

  • Scream

shoutout to clumsiness: gotta be one of my favorite recurring ghostface killer characteristics.

i love these movies dearly. the original Scream is arguably my favorite movie ever made, and while Wes’ other 3 Scream films are definitely inferior to the original, i love all of those too. when i first watched all of the sequels, i judged them kinda harshly in comparison to the classic, but have since gone back and given them 4 stars each. i’m giving Scream (2022)…

  • Saw

haven’t watched this since high school and i was shocked by how many lines i could quote 🤞 crazy how much james wan and leigh wannell have done for horror. great guys
