The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

as a guy with multiple tattoos dedicated to Nic Cage — I had fun! the best part of this is BY FAR Nic and Pedro’s bromance. it’s wonderful. the meta commentary stuff can be hit or miss with people but I’m kind of a sucker for it. also, I can’t be too critical of anything spreading the gospel of Paddington 2 🙏 de-aged Nic was horrifying, though ♥️

  • Ambulance

virtually none of the emotional stuff landed for me, the editing is sometimes unintelligible, it’s very clear what shot has the horrible CGI that Bay was talking about…but it’s fun. probably my favorite performance from Jake in a while. oh, and every time it cuts to a drone shot, an angel gets its wings ♥️

i really liked the one shot that zooms out from Amygdala as Angela runs very strangely alongside the rock wall

  • Jackass: The Movie

    Jackass: The Movie

one might think that the home-movie / DIY style would make things better, but i think jackass works better with at least somewhat of a budget. this one is also the most mean spirited to strangers, which doesn’t help imo. much prefer when it’s just the volunteers fucking themselves up
