Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town

pure christmas chaos. lots of weird guys in this one. much better than that horrid film where everybody bullies the reindeer

    tick, tick...BOOM!

does anyone else hate the feeling of something suddenly popping up multiple times in your life, when you’ve never encountered it before? like the specificity of me, within 6 months or so, hearing TWO different songs about a respective artist’s fear of turning 30…that makes my skin crawl for some reason

  • Eternals

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

need a gif of druig hitting sprite in the head with the rock 🙏🙏🙏

it’s insane how they had 2 Game of Thrones actors, a character named Cersei, and Ramin Djawadi on the score

  • Venom: Let There Be Carnage

    Venom: Let There Be Carnage

❤️‍🔥 LGBT Venom at the Little Simz show ❤️‍🔥

this was a much worse ~movie~ than the first one, but it really turned up the goofiness that i loved about the first one, so it kinda balanced out. i also loved the mrs. chen/anne scene 😁

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

fun! it’s refreshing to watch a MCU/comic book movie with a unique action style. the scaffolding scene really sticks out in that regard. idk if this is a hot take or not but Awkwafina was near insufferable for me during the first half of the movie — every single line was just bomb after bomb. didn’t expect this to go as heavy with the magic/fantastical stuff! that was cool. again, just another thing to set it apart from the rest. it did feel pretty long tho 🤞

  • Venom

Venom the movie? not the best. Venom the movie character? talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it

  • The Hunt

    The Hunt

been curious about this for a while and it wasn’t nearly as cringe as i expected it to be. would love a gruyère grilled cheese rn

  • Stillwater

an interesting movie-going experience. was unsure going into it, became pleasantly surprised at how much i was buying into the character/story during the first act…then it soon becomes three different movies entirely. one of them is really good, i think, and the other two are just fine. it starts to fall apart near the end, messily wraps things up, and i ended up where i started — unsure of whatever it was that i just saw. Damon was pretty good.

  • Black Widow

    Black Widow

florence pugh owned this movie. her action scenes were good, she’s the only character that talked about getting her uterus ripped out, and she did her signature ☹️. what more could you want from an actress?

  • Fear Street: 1666

    Fear Street: 1666

not bad, not particularly Goode — but i hope netflix and other streaming services continue to do interesting stuff like ~teen horror trilogies with heavy lore~ in the future

  • Léon: The Professional

    Léon: The Professional

    - gf tells me we need to watch this because it’s one of their favorite movies
    - as we’re watching it, i ask if it’s about pedophilia, but gf reassures me that it’s about the young girl coming from a broken home and not knowing what love is — therefore she thinks she’s in love with the man, and the man doesn’t have any loved ones — so he’s loving her like a daughter
    - we finish the movie, go…

  • Fear Street: 1994

    Fear Street: 1994

these Netflix budgets are something else. Maya Hawke for 5 minutes and all these iconic needle drops??? in this economy??
