The Usual Suspects 1995
The first two acts are pretty meh. Nearly all the characters are unlikeable (and not in a fun way), the script reads like Mad Libs, and the acting is super hit or miss. That being said,,,,,the ending + the Keyzer Soze reveal is great (even with me knowing what the reveal was before watching).
P.S. - Stephen Baldwin looks like an inbred Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
P.P.S. - Fuck Bryan Singer and Kevin Spacey

Can You Ever Forgive Me? 2018
How can I “Lee Israel” my way into YouTube money / success??
This was a good lil movie. Pretty efficient in the way that it’s told. Good performances definitely carry the story which isn’t suuuper interesting. Grant’s acting in that last scene was top notch.

A Simple Favor 2018
Absolutely insane. Kept going back and forth between real movie and intense parody, which was certainly something!!!! Highly reccomend as something to watch w friends while you yell at the screen

Funny Games 2007
The first half is pretty scary, there are good performances in here, but like, eh. I didn’t buy into the whole *wink wink nudge nudge* stuff to the audience. Felt a lot longer than it actually was, too.
(P.S. there are probably already a bunch of “white boys really be like that” jokes, with people shouting about reverse racism in the comments, so I’m just gonna hold off on that one for tonight)

Spider-Man: Far From Home 2019
As someone who LOVES both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jake Gyllenhaal...I wish I enjoyed this more. With the way this story was told, I struggled to really get invested. It seemed like a movie with a beginning and an end, but nothing in the middle.
(those post-credits are wild tho)
