That sure was a movie! Here are a bunch of little thoughts I had during it:
    - The premise is basically A Quiet Place mixed with The Happening and...props to them for finding funding for that

    - The casting was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen. Trevante Rhodes and Lil Rel are great, Bullock and Malkovich are always hit or miss for me, and WHO INVITED MACHINE GUN KELLY????
    - Speaking of Malkovich, his performance is absurd. Idk if I…

  • Love, Simon

    Love, Simon

    ★★★

some of the dialogue in here is horrendous, but that’s besides the point. it’s a decent, sweet movie that probably meant a lot to so many people. love, simon is very good for the world

  • Creep 2

    Creep 2

    ★★★

More interesting than the first one. This series isn’t really anything special, but they’ll hold your attention all the way through

  • Circle

    Circle

    ★★★

I love this dumb, specific sub genre of movies so much

  • The Serengeti Rules

    The Serengeti Rules

    ★★★

i think i didn’t like this very much because there was somebody near me who wouldn’t stop talking so i got in a bad mood

  • Sicario: Day of the Soldado

    Sicario: Day of the Soldado

    ★★★

    absolutely B R U T A L

  • Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King

    Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King

    ★★★

*slowly backs away and exits the room because I don’t love this as much as everyone does*

*peeks head back into doorway and asks, “isn’t there an entire bit from Donald Glover’s ‘Weirdo’ in here?”*

*slowly backs up and leaves again*

  • Solo: A Star Wars Story

    Solo: A Star Wars Story

    ★★★

A lot of things I liked, a lot of things I was scratching my head about. L3 made me laugh. Train sequence made me want to die. A fun movie!

  • The 40 Year Old Virgin

    The 40 Year Old Virgin

    ★★★

some funny lines/scenes but overall it’s pretty aggressively of its time (not in a very good way)

  • Moon

    Moon

    ★★★

Really cool premise but..... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk. I think I have some weird hatred for Sam Rockwell so maybe it’s my fault I didn’t love it as much as everyone else

  • Ready Player One

    Ready Player One

    ★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Giving this 3 stars is pretty generous BUT there are a few things that help warrant it imo:
    The scene in The Shining
The theme of Spielberg being Halliday, a creator of worlds who knows he’ll die sooner or later
Me sitting in my movie theater chair wondering how the FUCK technology is good enough to produce special effects like this.

Other than those things, this is a pretty bad movie. Some of the worst lines I’ve ever heard, including but not limited to, “You killed my mom’s sister”. My whole theater chuckled during that. Worth the watch, but yikes there are some bad moments.

  • The Replacements

    The Replacements

    ★★★

this movie is pretty bad but I’ve loved it forever and will continue to do so. Keanu Reeves dancing to “I Will Survive” is worth the price of admission alone
