Although it is your classic slasher film, there are enough oddball twists to give the ancient genre some fresh life. Yes, it's violent, but it's also funny. These films were always meant to be outrageously entertaining, and this one surely succeeds.
You are kept cheering for the leads since it is wonderfully paced and the characters and acting are fully developed, giving powerful performances.
The use of harsh cuts, intense close-ups, and mildly confusing long shots, together with the excellent direction, music, and cinematography, all contribute to the overall suspense and nervousness of the movie.
I genuinely thought that this would be a sloppy covid horror film, yet it was so much better than I had imagined. If you enjoy slashers and haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it.
