  holy shit!! overall this movie is a slow burn but the last 30-40 minutes are crazy! I think this has the best ending out of any Conjuring movie. Taissa Farmiga and Storm Reid are an amazing mix

  I just left from seeing this and I really enjoyed it. It’s definitely a slow burn and the ending is somewhat confusing and anticlimactic but it at least made sense. My dad absolutely HATED it, but he doesn’t appreciate these kinds of movies. I personally didn’t find this movie scary at all, not a single jumpscare got me, just very tense at times. I’m glad I finally understand what others meant when they brought up the dog scene 🤣

  The movie departs from its tried-and-true format in an effort to make the franchise feel new, choosing an alternative strategy instead that leaves a lot to be wanted. The character arc of Jamie Lee Curtis is satisfactorily resolved, despite the fact that it appears abrupt.
