L'Âge d'Or

L'Âge d'Or

Watched back-to-back with Cocteau's The Blood of a Poet. Where that film had four episodes, this one has five segments -- or joints of the scorpion's tail -- plus the stinger. What struck me most this time was the fact that Gaston Modot's character is supposedly on a "goodwill mission," yet he spends the whole movie kicking dogs, stomping beetles, pushing blind men, and slapping dowagers.
