IF YOU ARE CLICKING THESE REVIEWS AND HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM YET, STOP!!!
SERIOUSLY, STOP CLICKING!!! haha
Well that was the most fun I remember having in a theater since the first showing on opening night of Into the Spiderverse. I've never been a big crowd person (even pre-Covid) and tend to go to less busy showtimes, often enjoying my own private screenings as I call them. I am not used to the energy and excitement of a packed theater but for these big blockbuster events, it definitely heightens the experience. Thankfully my crowd was totally into this, at times feeling more like a sporting event than a movie.
I won't say too much about the film except that it was probably one of my favorite Marvel movies and definitely the most fun I've had watching one. There were plenty of laughs as well as plenty of heart, and I thought the writers did a tremendous job balancing the two to achieve just the right tone. I am also so thankful I decided to watch the seven previous Spidey films before this, as I had never even seen the third through fifth before last week.
So much credit all around for pulling this off and I hope everyone has as much fun going to see this as I did.
I may even have to finally stop saying "I'm not really a superhero or Marvel guy" now too.....

*There are definitely "better" films I have rated lower this year and fully acknowledge my rating maybe higher because of the overall experience.
