Harris Mayersohn’s review published on Letterboxd:
kaluuya & plemons in particular are operating on another level here. extremely rare case where a longer runtime (maybe even prestige miniseries??) would’ve benefitted the storytelling & even (possibly) the pacing? more time to observe the slow moments (especially given how much longer i’d have liked to stay with every performance) which I think elevates the brutal impact of the real life violence. as a film the violence felt overly action movie-y. but saying I’d have liked more is testament to thing as a whole. great stuff.
