Harsh Kumar’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shang Chi is another one of Marvel's adventures that is technically accurate and drives you into the story with the character. A lot of lives are at stake in the climax and we do realise it with intense music. What separates Sang Chi from other marvel films is an utter disturbance between families taking shape of a larger cause for a rebel. In previous films, the villain has always been someone from a different world or with huge powers. Here on the face while the villain is from another world the true horror lies in what has always been there in the family 'The Rings'.
It is the brilliant well-paced editing that is the essence of the film and keeps you hooked till the very end. With a clean and short backstory, the film lives off its past keeping the present alive and sparked. Would love to see more such Marvel films.
