Very good, a bit better than the first BP. Not as good as i thought it was going to be though, I may need to rewatch, but this is definitely the best MCU project this year!
Riri and Shuri surprised me as they were very likable! (I found shuri annoying before) Riri is mad funny and the actress killed all scenes with her, looking forward to her show now. Namor is a great villain, and I honestly would like an entire film around him. He was lowkey more entertaining and interesting than the rest of the cast, so im excited to see more of him in the future. Ramonda was also super good, Angela acted tf out of that role and she had such well performed scenes.
The cinematography is good, nothing crazy or breathtaking, just pretty standard. The CGI is good, and its often noticeable and wonky but i really wont criticize the vfx teams because we all know how poorly disney/marvel treats them. The soundtrack is great, i am definitely gonna peep the OST because there were a lot of tracks i fucked with.
My favorite scenes in this film definitely are the ones with Namor and the atlanteans, especially their first appearance with the cargo ship, that shit was so fucking good. The Atlanteans were dope as hell and stole the show for me.
This film was more emotional and “serious” than a lot of the phase 4 projects, but i felt like it could’ve left a bigger impact on me, and it unfortunately didn’t. This film was still a blast to watch. I would rewatch with another person, but not on my own.
