Lukas’s review published on Letterboxd:
Terrific performances by Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Jack Black, but unfortunately the toxic trio here can’t make this dull, self-important script any more engaging. I do like Noah Baumbach’s style of directing. Frances Ha, The Squid and The Whale, and Marriage Story are fantastic stories of flawed realistic people undergoing important life changes. However, Margot at the Wedding lacks the charm or organic story structure to feel like anything is happening or emotionally touching.
