Jon Gordon’s review published on Letterboxd:
A joyous slice of 80s London: 70 minutes of romance, music and good times. There are moments of danger and prejudice but this is mostly a film that looks at, and celebrates, Caribbean culture and its intersections with British Life in Notting Hill through one house party. It is a beautifully tactile film: all fabrics and smooth skin, dancing bodies, kisses. Sometimes there is an air of menace but mostly an air of pure romance. It is a sensory delight and a triumph.
