“You never said her name, did you?”
Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness was a great rewatch. It was my little brothers birthday and he’s been dying to see this so we had to put it on. Honestly just as much fun as it was in theaters. I get the disappointment for this movie but I will never understand the hate. While it did not live up to expectations it still has Sam Raimi doing some great directing, The Scarlet Witch being a terrifying villain, and we get more Doctor Strange who is becoming one of my favorite MCU heroes. It’s a fun adventure but it doesn’t feel like it has the stakes this story should have. It feels so small scale while Wanda is taking out entire rooms full of people.
The movie also does not have nearly enough Multiversal madness. They go to a place with pizza balls and you stop on green. It’s dumb for sure but it has never ruined my experience that much. I knew what this was going in to it on rewatch and it helped the experience. It’s not a great MCU movie but definitely over-hated as it’s so much fun. What Sam Raimi brought should not be overlooked and I hope we see more from him in this genre. Also like I said earlier I love Doctor Strange so any Doctor Strange movies we get I will probably like them. So if you thought this was bad or mediocre give it another watch with better expectations. It’s a great time.
