I finally had the chance to watch Judas and the Black Messiah and I thought it was fantastic. Judas and the Black Messiah is my favorite movie of 2021 at the moment. The acting was amazing and Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) did deserve an Oscar for his performance. Everyone else did an amazing job with their performances including Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now). Every character was well-developed and you can feel a strong connection between them in my opinion. The story was fascinating with the history behind the Black Panther Party in Chicago during the late 1960s. You get to feel the raw emotional energy that is presented in the story. I also like that the story avoids the typical traditional biopic tropes without coming off as extremely sentimental. The pacing was perfect for a 2-hour movie because it moves so nicely.
I feel like that I can't add anything new to add seeing that other people already talk about this movie enough already. I highly recommend watching Judas and the Black Messiah when you get the chance. Rating: 9/10
