such an odd kids movie. it's dark both visually and tonally. the colour palette is dull and a lot of the movie takes place at night. the beaks with wide tooth grins and the glassy eyes that pop out of their heads make for unsettling character designs. the farm is reminiscent of a concentration camp, with chainlink fences and roll calls and death once to those who are no longer fit to work -- and then death to everyone. the…

this movie is edited like a fever dream. it's really repetitive but everyone's speaking really quick and there's no space between lines it makes me feel like i'm losing my mind. the first 15 minutes of this is just people going "this is a great restaurant what's the secret recipe tell us what the secret recipe is it's great food WHAT'S THE SECRET RECIPE"
