Tarkovsky's most incomprehensible feels like his most personal. Perhaps the most dream-like movie I've ever seen. Even though its structure feels like a mess, it's still subtlety grounded by its themes and constructed by a poetic language. Sadly I couldn't connect with absolutely any of it but I still find this style of filmmaking utterly impressive and mesmerizing.
